The cooperation of third parties with the UiO Blockchain Lab is based on membership.
New members are approved by the Blockchain Lab Steering Committee. Membership can be dissolved by either the partner or by a decision of the Steering Committee.
Membership in the lab is free for the approved partners.
Members have the first right to get services and advantages associated with the lab (such as using the experimental testbed facilities at the lab, invitation to participate in the lab activities, invitation to a consortium for the purpose of obtaining funding, etc). The services and advantages are not provided automatically, however, their provision is subject to individual agreements in each case. The industrial partners will get early access to the research results produced by academia.
Lab members are obligated to promote an association between the lab and relevant blockchain-related projects they are involved in. If a lab member participates in a joint project with the lab, the member is obligated to mention the lab on the project web pages, blogs, and in other public documents whose purpose is to promote the project.
Similarly, lab members are obligated to promote an association between the lab and relevant blockchain-related courses they are involved in. If a lab member contributes to teaching or organizing a course that is directly relevant to the lab topics, the member is obligated to mention the lab on the course web pages, blogs, and in other public documents whose purpose is to promote the course.
